HKKF timetable from 1 April 2026. Monday to Friday shown by default; Saturday, Sunday and public-holiday tables switch in automatically. Times are pier gate closing times.

Freight and large items The Transport Department table says freight is allowed on all sailings, but HKKF's own timetable is stricter: freight goes only on the sailings it marks, large or bulky loads need booking one day ahead, and other sailings take only bicycles and up to two small hand-carried items per passenger, each with a freight ticket. HKKF has the final say. Check with HKKF on +852 2815 6063 before bringing anything bulky.

Typhoons and bad weather HKKF states that the schedule can change without prior notice. Tropical cyclone signals, strong winds and rainstorm warnings can suspend or alter sailings; check HKKF's News page or call +852 2815 6063 on the day.

Other ferries to Yung Shue Wan Tsui Wah Ferry runs a separate licensed route from Aberdeen to Yung Shue Wan via Pak Kok Tsuen, with its own timetable and fares. It is not shown on this board.

Fares in force from 1 April 2026 (Transport Department and HKKF tables). There are two fare levels: Monday to Saturday except public holidays, and Sundays and public holidays. Child (3 to under 12), aged 65+ and disabled fares are half the adult fare; HKKF asks for proof of entitlement such as an HK identity card, Senior Citizen Card or Registration Card for People with Disabilities. Eligible people can also travel at a concessionary fare under the Government's $2 Scheme with an eligible Octopus or JoyYou Card; HKKF notes that passengers aged 60 to 64 who do not use the JoyYou Card pay the adult fare, and that visitors aged 65 or over with an Elder Octopus get the elderly fare. One child under 3 per fare-paying adult travels free without a seat. Same-day and holiday return tickets only work when the first trip starts at Yung Shue Wan. HKKF also sells personalised monthly (HK$839), student monthly (HK$586) and 10-trip multi-ride (HK$211) tickets. All fares in Hong Kong dollars (HKD).

Hong Kong & Kowloon Ferry (HKKF) runs this licensed service between Central Pier 4, on Man Kwong Street, and the ferry pier at Yung Shue Wan on Lamma Island. The Transport Department puts the journey at about 27 minutes. The timetable and fares on this page took effect on 1 April 2026, and HKKF has not published an end date for them.

There are two timetables: one for Mondays to Saturdays, and one for Sundays and public holidays, which also applies when a holiday falls on a weekday or a Saturday. The board switches between them by date, and it includes the Saturday-only small-hours sailing from Central and the boat that leaves Central just after midnight, which the official table lists as running on the next calendar day. Every HKKF time is the moment the pier gate closes, not when the boat pulls out, so be there early. Once you are through the gate, HKKF expects you to take that sailing; to wait for a later one you have to go back out and pay again.

The fare depends on the day as well. An adult single is HK$24.90 from Monday to Saturday and HK$34.70 on Sundays and public holidays. Children aged 3 to 11, people aged 65 or over and people with disabilities pay half, with proof of entitlement. The same-day and holiday return tickets (HK$43.40 for an adult) only work if your first trip starts at Yung Shue Wan, so they are no use for a day out from Central.

Luggage and bikes have their own rules. One suitcase up to 60 × 30 × 80 cm is free; anything bigger is charged as freight, which HKKF accepts only on the sailings it marks. A bicycle costs HK$17.40 and can go on any sailing, but HKKF wants at least a day's notice and may turn away a bike that was not booked. Pets pay a fare, must be in a carrier or on a lead and muzzled where needed, and stay in the first two rows of the main deck.

On the island, HKKF's Lamma pages suggest a walk from the pier past the Yung Shue Wan Tin Hau temple and Hung Shing Yeh Beach to Sok Kwu Wan, which has its own HKKF ferry back to Central.

  • Be at the pier before departure; on some routes the time shown is when the pier gate closes.
  • Check the operator's notices on the day — typhoon signals, strong winds and rainstorm warnings can suspend or change sailings.
  • Bicycles, pets and large luggage have their own rules and charges on some routes; check before you travel.
