Tsui Wah timetable effective 19 January 2025, as listed by the Transport Department. Monday to Friday shown by default; Saturday, Sunday and public holiday tables switch in by date. Some sailings call at the Trappist Monastery: see the notes.
Boarding at the Trappist Monastery Tsui Wah's timetable lists departures from the monastery pier (Tai Shui Hang Pier on Lantau, not the Tai Shui Hang in Sha Tin) separately. Monday to Saturday: to Discovery Bay 11:30, 12:30, 16:15, 17:20; to Peng Chau 08:10, 09:30, 10:45, 14:45, plus 15:50 on Saturdays. Sundays and public holidays: to Discovery Bay 10:25, 12:20, 16:25, 17:10; to Peng Chau 08:10, 09:50, 11:30, 15:00, 16:00.
Other boats from the same landings Peng Chau Kai To runs its own licensed route from the Nim Shue Wan Landing Steps to Mui Wo via Peng Chau Public Pier, with separate times and fares. HKKF's ferry to Central sails from Peng Chau Ferry Pier, and Discovery Bay's ferry to Central from Discovery Bay Ferry Pier; neither uses the kaito landings.
Weather and enquiries Tropical cyclone signals, strong winds and rainstorm warnings can suspend kaito sailings. For the day's arrangements call Tsui Wah on 2272 2022.

Single fares, same in both directions and on every day. The two evening specials (23:10 from Peng Chau, 23:20 from Discovery Bay) cost HK$45 for an adult instead of HK$9. The child fare is described differently by the two official sources: the Transport Department lists HK$7.50 for children aged 3 to 11 and free travel under 3, while Tsui Wah's own fare board gives HK$7.50 for ages 6 to 11 and free travel under 6. Tsui Wah's board also lists HK$10 for each pet, which the Transport Department table does not mention. Tsui Wah's ferry page says it accepts Octopus or cash dropped into a fare box, with no change given. No elderly or $2 Scheme fare is listed for this route. All fares in Hong Kong dollars (HKD).
Tsui Wah Ferry Service runs this licensed kaito between Peng Chau and Discovery Bay, with some sailings calling at the pier below the Trappist Monastery on Lantau. In Discovery Bay the boat does not use the ferry pier where the Central service berths: it leaves from the Nim Shue Wan Landing Steps on Marina Drive. On Peng Chau it uses the Public Pier on Lo Peng Street. The Transport Department times the direct crossing at 10 minutes and the trip via the monastery at 15.
The timetable has applied since 19 January 2025. There is one version for Monday to Saturday and another for Sundays and public holidays, each with 21 sailings in each direction, starting at 06:30 from Peng Chau and 06:45 from Discovery Bay and running until late evening. Saturdays add one boat each way in mid-afternoon. When a public holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday timetable applies, and the board on this page changes over by date. Only departure times are published; the notes under the board say which sailings call at the monastery.
The ordinary adult single costs HK$9. The last departure each night, 23:10 from Peng Chau and 23:20 from Discovery Bay, is an evening special priced at HK$45. On children, the two official sources disagree: the Transport Department charges HK$7.50 from age 3 to 11 and nothing under 3, while Tsui Wah's printed fare board sets the HK$7.50 band at 6 to 11 and lets under-6s travel free. A bicycle costs HK$10, and Tsui Wah's board adds HK$10 for a pet. Tsui Wah's ferry page says fares are paid by Octopus or in cash into a fare box, and no change is given.
For the monastery itself, check the timetable carefully. The landing is Tai Shui Hang Pier on Lantau, which has nothing to do with the Tai Shui Hang near Sha Tin, and Tsui Wah lists the monastery departures separately for each direction, with four or five a day towards Peng Chau (five on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) and four towards Discovery Bay.
Two other services start from the same landings: Peng Chau Kai To's licensed boat from Nim Shue Wan to Mui Wo via Peng Chau, and HKKF's ferry from Peng Chau Ferry Pier to Central. Both have their own times and fares.
- Be at the pier before departure; on some routes the time shown is when the pier gate closes.
- Check the operator's notices on the day — typhoon signals, strong winds and rainstorm warnings can suspend or change sailings.
- Bicycles, pets and large luggage have their own rules and charges on some routes; check before you travel.
